Dr. Jacob Bower MS DC

 Dr. Jacob Bower is a native of the Treasure Valley and is a principal of Bower Chiropractic and Sports Injury Clinic.  Prior to Chiropractic School from [Palmer] he graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science. He received his Masters Degree in Health and Human Performance from McNeese State University.  In addition to pursuing his academic studies, Dr. Bower was a stand-out student athlete playing quarterback on the football team at both universities.  In high school, he was the Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year in basketball in 2003 and in 2007 was named the Junior College Player of the Year for football.  Dr. Bower, understands the unique demands athletes place on their bodies and is passionate about helping those reach their peak potential.   
 
Professionally, Dr. Bower is trained and certified in multiple sport and soft tissue treatment protocols. He has experience training under and working for Dr. Ty Ogata of Boise, Idaho and Dr. Justin Brink of San Jose, California. He has experience treating many conditions and developed treatment plans for numerous high school, college and professional athletes. Dr. Bower also has experience working with high school athletic programs covering on field sports injuries. He is a Crossfit L1 personal trainer and worked in Crossfit Willow Glen for over two years treating sport injuries.
 
Dr. Bower’s practice is not limited to elite level athletes.  Dr. Bower believes that everyone engages in the “athletics” of his or her day and that the quality of that individual’s day can be enhanced and improved  through proper treatment protocols. Dr. Bower is passionate about helping individuals increase and regain their athletic potential so that they can improve the quality of their life.
 
Dr. Bower also has an extensive Equine Chiropractic practice and has treated hundreds of horses.   
Dr. Bower is happily married to his wife Rachel Cox of Bakersfield, California. Together they have two boys Wayne (age 6) and Waylon (age 4). Dr. Bower is an Eagle Scout and served a two-year LDS mission for his church in the state of Wisconsin. Dr. Bower is active in his community and loves spending time with his family.  He has a passion for the outdoors, including fly fishing and hunting.
